Andrew (or Chappers as he's often called) has been directing comedy on TV for the last fifteen years. Engaging, funny stories with strong performances are what he's best known for.

He cut his comedy teeth directing sketches for TV and online; including FIERY HAWK, a breakout viral hit. Fourteen years later, it's still talked about as one of the most accurate depictions of the audition room.

Since 2015 he's been directing long-form narrative series. From the BAFTA winning ALMA'S NOT NORMAL for the BBC (which also won Andrew Best Comedy Director at the 2022 RTS Awards) to the critically acclaimed GAMEFACE for Channel 4 and Hulu. He directed all three series of the Rose D'Or nominated comedy thriller WITLESS for BBC 3, as well as the physical comedy MISTER WINNER  for BBC Two. Most recently, he was lead director on THE FULL MONTY, an 8 part series of the beloved 90s film for Disney +. 

 

Alongside his TV work, Andrew shoots commercials. He's worked on campagins for CARPHONE WAREHOUSE, VOLKSWAGEN, CARTE D'OR, CANDY CRUSH and CONFIDANTE, which won Bronze at the CANNES LIONS in 2015. 

 

He lives in London, regularly gets told he looks like Jack Whitehall and HATES frankfurters.
