An eight-part comedy-drama for Disney+. A sequel to the Oscar-nominated 1997 film, reuniting the original cast a quarter of a century on.
Twenty-five years after the strike that made them strip, Gaz, Dave and the rest of the Sheffield gang are older but no wiser — still scheming, still skint, still holding each other up. As they navigate a city of crumbling healthcare, failing schools and vanishing work, and a new generation comes up behind them, the old friends are pulled back together when tragedy strikes and one of their own needs honouring. A sequel in the same spirit as the film: warm, funny and quietly furious, finding the humanity in a community the system keeps letting down.
