Witless

A BBC Three comedy thriller about two mismatched flatmates forced into witness protection after seeing a gangland execution.

Leanne and Rhona's ordinary lives are blown apart the moment they witness a brutal shooting. Handed new identities and dumped in a grubby Swindon flat, the pair are left to fend for themselves while a pair of trigger-happy teenage gangsters close in. Across three increasingly action-packed series, their attempts to lie low go spectacularly wrong — a tentative romance with neighbour Patrick drags them deeper into the criminal world they were trying to escape, and the cliffhangers and shootouts pile up around them. Blending odd-couple sitcom warmth with caper-movie tension, the show built to a fully designed finale that brought Leanne and Rhona's story to a satisfying close.
